Make Nine - bonus items.
I'm feeling really energized about my Make Nine 2018 selections and I'm currently working on my second Dottie Angel Frock.. but since posting my list, I've had a pattern recommended to me on Instagram and I also stumbled upon a new frock pattern while reading blogs about the Dottie Angel frock.
Both are great patterns that I would love to buy and make sometime - so I have added them as a bonus... if I finish all the other patterns I already own on my Make Nine list then I might treat myself to these lovelies.
#1 Metamorphic Dress by Sew Liberated.
This was recommended on Instagram by someone who saw my Make Nine because she follows #dottieangelfrock and thought I'd like another good layering dress.
I just love the subtle hi-lo cut of the hem... wouldn't that be fantastic for Mori Kei? I love the way it's styled in this pattern photo & the over-all vibe of this pattern company.
#2 West Water Tunic by Squam Art Works
I found this on sugarbeans.org. I was googling Dottie Angel frock blog posts to see all the amazing variations of this pattern and I stumbled across this blog. It doesn't look like it's currently active, but it's a treat to look through - especially because her favorite outfits are frocks and jeans or leggings & she's documented some great frock patterns in addition to the Dottie Angel, from a vintage one to this one.
I love the shawl collar and button down front on this one. It's quite unique and it looks really fun to make.
So I'm holding off on impulsively buying more patterns... but I'm taking note of these two because they look like the sort of makes that I could sew a bunch of times and really enjoy.
